In February 2024, members of AERG Iterero at ACEJ Karama TSS participated in an educational visit to the Nyanza - Kicukiro Genocide Memorial site.
The visit aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of Rwanda’s history, particularly the events leading to and surrounding the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Students were guided through important historical locations, gaining knowledge about the country’s past and the importance of unity, resilience, and national identity.
At the Nyanza - Kicukiro Genocide Memorial, students paid tribute to the victims and reflected on the consequences of division and hatred. The experience served as a reminder of the responsibility of young generations to uphold peace, respect, and human dignity.
Such educational visits are an essential part of shaping responsible citizens who understand their history and are committed to building a better future.
